In my own life this card also speaks of raw, naked ambition and flaunting it without shame or fear. It’s a feminist card, a fighter card, a power card. Blessed Be.

Creative Journal Prompt
Carolee is a trickster card; a card that invites you to be tricky and sly like a fox or a coyote. The trickster is a go-between for humans and the gods. She/he journeys to the world in-between where magick exists although often his/her messages come out a little differently than you’d expect.

We each have a dash of trickster in us, a madcap, a fool, a wise old soul.

Take a moment now to inhabit that in-between world where things could go either way or not at all, but where the unexpected is always to be expected.

Name one wild thing you could do in your life that would surprise everyone. Whatever pops into your head write it down. If you’re a brave soul and ready to shake it up for Carolee’s sake then she dares you to do it and report back later.

Next, envision your new, wild self. What do you see, feel, sense? Describe.

Is there anything stopping you from being this new, wild self and if so how will you deal with it?

Ask your trickster why she/he has chosen this task for you.

About Lunar Eclipses

A lunar eclipse is only possible during a full moon. During a Full Moon, the Moon and Sun are on opposite sides of the Earth, and the Moon is at its brightest. A lunar eclipse is a special full moon where the Earth is in the same plane with both luminaries and the Moon is therefore shadowed by the Earth. This too, is a relatively sudden and rare phenomenon and not visible to everyone on Earth.

How Do You Know If An Eclipse Will Affect You?

You’ll feel an eclipse if it falls within 5 degrees of one of your natal planets. A good astrologer can tell you that. An eclipse’s effects are also likely to be stronger if you live in the part of the world where it can be seen directly. And an eclipse will be stronger if it is total, rather than partial. These things taken together and with a few other factors added in, will tell you the generic nature of the eclipse, the area of your life where it’s likely to affect you, and the strength of the effect. A strong eclipse is likely to be felt, at least in a background way, for six months until it is replaced by the next same-type of eclipse (solar or lunar).

I’d like to share a review of my Zodiac Goddess Playbook by Creative Director and Coach for women, Jane Dutra-Salemi. Enjoy!

Archetypes are powerful. These ancient symbols are supportive and healing. They help us to create change in our lives. They allow us to embody qualities we need to support us through transitional times. They make it possible for us to see the bigger picture in life situations and provide meaning and understanding for our emotions so that we can begin to know ourselves in deeper and more meaningful ways.

Archetypes are what first drew me to this book. The Zodiac Goddess Playbook by Kathy Crabbe is a fun little book that uses the archetypes of the goddesses to help us understand the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Kathy provides correspondences, affirmations, and meditations for each of the 12 featured goddesses. I appreciated all the information, but I also liked the fact that if any of the goddesses presented did not resonate with me, I had a lovely starting point for my own goddess study to use for that particular zodiac sign.

Visually, this book is very colorful. Each chapter represents one goddess/zodiac sign with accompanying artwork. If you are an artist, this book will intrigue you, as there is an article highlighting each of the contributing artists. It was interesting to read their shared stories.

If you are like me and have had trouble in the past following the moon cycles through the zodiac signs and remembering what each sign means, this is a fun way to do it. By having a goddess symbolize each zodiac sign, I am easily able to feel into that sign’s aspects and qualities. Taking an unfamiliar topic (the zodiac) and pairing with a familiar one (goddesses) was just what I needed to close the gap for me.

I also liked the “playbook” aspect of this book. Since it is an e-book I felt totally comfortable printing it out and making notes and comments on the pages, making it totally mine. I also feel that each person using the book will have a different experience with it. This book is great for personal discovery and could also be a fun tool to use within a group.

Artemis is the virgin moon-goddess roaming the forest with her band of nymphs, bearing the bow and quiver, avoiding men and killing any male who looks upon her. She was also known as the many-breasted Artemis of Ephesus, a symbol of fecundity. As the warlike Artemis she is said to have been the special goddess of the Amazons.

She is both the water goddess - part of a trinity including Ganga and Yamuna and the goddess of eloquence which pours forth like a flooding river. She is the inventor of all the arts and sciences, patron of all intellectual endeavours and the prototype of the artist. She invented writing to record the songs she inspired and created music so her beauty could be praised. In her identity as Vach, goddess of speech, she caused all words to come into being.
