Museletter: Abundance, Prosperity and Strength (Leo Full Moon Shared Focus Meditation)

This is the FIRST ever Full Moon Shared Focus Meditation I'm hosting and I'm so thrilled to be sharing it with you, my blog readers and my Creative Soul Circle (read more at the bottom of this post). The intent of the Shared Focus Meditation is to bring ALL of us together at a specific moment in time (at the Full Moon) so we can connect, focus upon the Meditation below, and then energetically and spiritually raise power, to walk the talk and BE the change we seek in the world. So, to begin I'd like you to look back at the previous New Moon in Aquarius on Jan. 2nd at the  intentions you set for the month ahead. In our previous New Moon Meditation we focused on identifying our strengths to develop an abundant mind set. Discussions ensued in the Circle with awesome input from Kate Walsh, financial planner who specializes in assisting women in developing Prosperity Thinking.

  • How have your New Moon seeds sprouted and flowered?
  • Have you identified your strengths and put them to work to allow abundance and prosperity to flow freely?

Leo Full Moon Shared Focus Meditation February  18, 2011 12:36 am pst Synch your watches here.

As I begin this Shared Focus Meditation I sense impatience in the air, alive and energetic, egging me on: GET TO IT, GET ON WITH IT, OPEN YOUR EYES W*I*D*E and so I get right to it and pull a Creative Soul Card®  (to the left) and then I stop and allow the silence to penetrate my soul and I hear angels (blue) and frogs singing.

Creative Soul Affirmation: The more LOVE I allow into my life the more abundant I become ~ the spiral grows and flows infinitely.

Creative Soul Action: Take a few moments to envision that spiral of love and abundance flowing in and out, in and out, like the tides, so that each breath you take forms an ever growing spiral. Breathe in to this spiral IN, OUT...IN, OUT as you connect with your breath and become fully present in your body.

Creative Soul Practice: Spend at least two minutes every day for one week's time practicing the Creative Soul Action above, and remember ~ Power in numbers, SiStars!

Creative Soul Accountability Success Marker: At the end of one week report back to the Creative Soul Circle Shared Focus Meditation Group thread started for the Leo Full Moon to share what happened for you during the week. What changed? What didn't? What synchronicities occurred?

Creative Soul Challenge: If you cannot seem to find the time for a two minute (minimum) daily meditation, then why not? Write about it in your Moon Musing/Creative Soul Journal and then discuss it in our Circle thread so we can comment, offer support AND kick your butt (or bum)!

Creative Soul Request: Janine asks each one of you to envision our Circle and yourself growing in love, strength and abundance with each breath you take, because today each one of us is a winner at heart.

Discipline, Balance & Strength: Capricorn Collages

I'm finally back in the collage-swing-of-things along with a VERY lively group of Divine Feminine Moon Musing students for the Capricorn 2011 Term of my 4 week eClass...a very impressive bunch! I encourage all my students to create at least one collage during the class, but if they're feeling extra motivated I also encourage them to create 3 separate collages for each phase of the moon. I'd slacked off a bit with my moon collage creations, but set the intention of committing to the collage process starting in January of 2011  (that Cappie New Moon does indeed help with discipline, don'tcha think?)

Here's my own collage created for the New Moon in Capricorn, Full Moon in Cancer and the Waning Moon in Scorpio.

The background is taken from one of my newest paintings which is part of my Journey Into Intimacy Series.

I incorporated three of my Lefty Oracle Cards which I had chosen for each of the moon phases (Skell, Sharmin' and Guess).

The Yin Yang symbol in the upper right and the Black Mermaid (from my Laguna Beach Mermaid Series) in the lower right represent the balancing act I'm doing between life/art/work which is also represented by the half goat, half fish symbolizing the zodiac sign of Capricorn.

The circle of copper ribbon that I've sewed onto the collage represents the dedication and focus that is required to develop my Creative Soul Circle.

For my new moon collage I chose pictures that showed how I wanted to be empowered by the moon, along with quotes and song lyrics that I felt expressed the inspiration I was looking to find in the next month.

In my full moon collage I expressed the seeds of intention I had planted through words and pictures. I included a picture of the cycle of the moon to show how I had changed throughout the month. I also added pictures of my power animals, and the names of the two goddesses that have guided me this month along with their strengths that I wish to find in myself.

Being in Love

My Ideal Morning

  1. Get up early. Pet dog.
  2. Walk around property. Listen to the birds.
  3. Start painting and rock out to tunes.

Balancing Act

It's the New Moon in Capricorn and time for us all to find the yin/yang balance within. So for me, as an artist this means balancing my businesshead with my artheart and PAINTING! Balancing Act (In Process.) Acrylic & pastel on masonite, 48 x 48 inches. © 2011 by Kathy Crabbe

Painting Notes:

Balancing art/life/biz

Picking up that brush and making that first stroke is EVERYTHING and NOTHING; bliss AND terror; both essential to reassure myself that I am indeed ALIVE.

One has to care deeply to paint from the soul.

Museletter: Capricorn New Moon

Capricorn Goddess. Mixed media on board, 8 x 10 inches. © 2010 by Kathy Crabbe New Moon In Capricorn – January 4, 2011 I have been working with the New Moon for many years and have been setting intentions along the way. The New Moon is the best time to plant our seeds of intention for the month ahead and then watch them grown and bloom as Mama Moon waxes to Full.

This month’s New Moon is in the sign of Capricorn, a cardinal earth sign. Capricornian types are cardinal-oriented or leadership-oriented, and they really do like being the boss, often in practical, earthy ways that help build foundations or structures that add meaning and value to our lives, often monetarily. Capricorn also relates to our bones and especially our knees that may give out when we work too hard, have you noticed?

Capricorn Keywords Ambitious, status quo, self-discipline, common sense, logic, patience and self-sufficiency. Capricorn is often associated with paternal figures: landlords, bosses and rules.

The Shadow Side of Capricorn The shadow side of Capricorn relates to workaholism, emotional constriction, sorrow, loneliness, and time-serving.

So, on January 4th when the New Moon enters Capricorn get ready to:

  • Ground your intentions in right action in the material world.
  • Strengthen your willpower and commitment to purpose.
  • Channel your ambitions in accord with your duties.
  • Get serious.

More About The Moon Phases The Moon changes signs approximately every 2 ½ days, going through all twelve signs of the Zodiac every 29 ½ days. The sign that the Moon is in reflects qualities of your inner self and being-ness. Each month there is at least one New Moon that will rise at sunrise and set at sunset. Astrologically speaking this means that the Sun and the Moon are in conjunction.

Learning to work in concert with the phases of the Moon is an excellent way to add structure to your life. You are not only connecting with Mother Nature through the Moon’s reflection of the Sun and the Earth, but with human nature and especially with feminine nature who’s natural cycles resemble the Moon’s own.

New Moon in Capricorn With A Twist! To add another level of importance (ahem, we are talking about Capricorns here!) to this New Moon I’m going to share my own tarot related version of The Devil Card (but from my hand painted Creative Soul Guide deck) into the mix.

Demon. Watercolor on paper, 8 x 10 inches © 2010 by Kathy Crabbe

One way of working with The Devil card is to close your eyes and visualize your own personal Demon or Gremlin standing in front of you and then pretend that you are being grilled by this so-called Being. Start off by asking this Demon what you are meant to learn by facing your shadow-side. Take note of how that question makes you feel and then start taking notes and asking more questions; be as specific as you like.

So here is what The Devil might sound like and keep in mind that this exercise is good practice for getting tuned up for the actual New Moon especially since these questions are going to help you kick start an entire year of intention work!

The Devil’s Questions: It is time now to acknowledge the Capricorn side of your nature and yes, every one of you has Capricorn somewhere in your birth chart.

By resisting me you only make me stronger (and yes, you too, in the process). What things in your life are you resisting right now?

Why are you being so hard on yourself?

Can you accept yourself with all your faults and limitations?

Tell me about your purpose, your foundation, your favorite modes of being creative and what you’re working on right now.

What have you come here to accomplish?

What do you need help with?

Who can help you with these things?

Who is preventing you from accomplishing what you need to?

Who is keeping you on track? Take a moment or two to acknowledge who these helpers are right now and then send them your gratitude from the heart...

In closing: Okay, enough with The Devil, I think you get the picture! Now, when you’re ready to write out your New Moon Intentions you’ll have some good, juicy material to work with. And remember, at the Full Moon you’ll be tracking how these intentions have come to fruition and at the Dark Moon (just before the New Moon) you can release all that is keeping you back from reaching your true potential. It’s time to acknowledge yourself as the unique, creative and special person that you are.

Each month we can tune into her cycles to keep ourselves on track. At the new moon we plant our intentions for the month ahead, at the full moon we watch them flower, and at the waning moon we release and share our wisdom with the world. As women we are naturally able to resonate with these cycles in deep and meaningful ways.”
