Into the Dark: Winter Solstice & New Moon in Capricorn

Dear Creative Soul, When I sat down in my shamanic New Moon Circle to honour and celebrate the upcoming Winter Solstice and New Moon in Capricorn this is what I channeled:

Oh Winter, Cailleach, Ancient Crone, Dark Night, I listen to your Silence and I hear the cauldron bubble and the owl hoot. It's time now to go within, to the dark, dark place where death and ice dance our name. Beneath the earth we enter Her barrow, Her cave at sunrise, Solstice morn. First light we see touches our third eye through this opening: the Light...the Light...she does return and within her, Hope and Dreams and Seeds are planted. It is the New Moon in Capricorn so let us plant these seeds, these dreams and tend Her garden for we are called...YOU are called...the wheel turns and we reply:

I AM Goddess I AM God I AM the Light I AM the Dark I AM holding Circle Blessed Be

My Winter Solstice Vision As for me: I feel at peace; calm, quiet, centered.  The darkness is velvety. I am surrounded by my guides, totems and star beings. I lie down and they bless me as my third eye tingles. The Hag, the Cailleach and I peer into her cauldron and I get in ~ to die and be reborn. I wait for the perfect moment; the moment of Solstice, to be born as light returns. I scream then I sleep; a new day has come.

Intention Setting for the New Moon Let go into darkness and as you are re-born and the Sun returns, it's time now to set your intentions for the moonth ahead. Don't forget to journal too!

Happy Aquarius Full Moon: I quiet my outside so my inner voice can be heard

The affirmation and image in this post is from my soon to be released Creative Soul Deck and Class and was channeled by me for this Aquarius Full Moon. Affirmation: Shush! I quiet my outside so my inner voice can be heard. And I open up to touch the core of me-ness.

It's the lunar lammas and the first harvest (in the northern hemisphere, that is), but because it's a lunar celebration which happens this Sunday at the Full Moon in Aquarius (August 10 at 11:09 am PDT) this celebration is about our inner harvest.

What feeds you? What keeps you going and fulfills you?  Is this a part of your daily work or play or even your dreams at night?

Quick, the fairies are calling you; can you see that flash of light, that wee sprite, out of the corner of your eye?  She is calling your name.

You are the mummy now; the mummy of your own inner dreams. Take time out to acknowledge yourself.

Take time out for you.

Wrap yourself up like a mummy, in protective layers so that YOU, yes YOU can hear your own thoughts without distraction.

Allow the Divine to speak through you, trusting that the advice she has for you is going to be good for all of us.

Allow the group mind, the myriad of voices, the universal, co-creative, collective consciousness to speak through you by listening to your heart and soul at this Full Moon in Aquarius.

Allow this Full Moon to fill your soul with light for you are love and all you touch is loved.

At solstice we sheltered, tiny in the still fathomless darkness. Now like the bird in the eggshell, we've swelled to fill the space. Our world grows tight, cramped. We feel anxious, our resources nearly gone. Time to peck our way out and claim the promise of Spring.

How? First, notice and name What Binds You. Name the prisons of fearsome circumstance, disillusionment, environmental crisis. Notice what feels stifled, blocked hopeless. Then circle together to Turn It Around! Stir and flex your power. Stretch and moan, rock and sing, and break free at the peak. Emerge from the broken shell of winter. Feel lightened, lifted, determined to leave the old world in shards behind you. Sparkling and sovereign stride into the Gateway, between the twin pillars, one light one dark. Unbound, blessed and surging, retrieve the trust that comes with balance. Thrive in the burgeoning. light.

Get Ready for the Nov. New Moon

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

The moon's astrological sign changes every 2 to 2 1/2 days, as she is the fastest moving of all the planets in the zodiac. Her lunar transits indicate daily and hourly moods, which can change as quickly as the moon's sign. When we attune our activities with the lunar flow, we become a channel for the wisdoms of the natural world. Approach each moon cycle as a journey and a teaching.

The new moon always rises and sets with the sun (the sun and the moon are in conjunction) and it is the very best time to seed new beginnings! So get to it!

If the transiting moon is conjunct (the same sign and degrees), as your natal sun or moon sign, it is a time of strength and authority, and a good time to center and look within your intuitive self more clearly to reconnect with your primary mode of emotionality.

You may want to create a ritual for these times (called returns) when the moon is in the same sign as your sun, moon , and other personal planets. This can give you the opportunity to ground yourself and attune to these energies.
