Here is a spell channeled for you that came from my latest painting: Princess Glitter Confetti Blessings.
This spell is part of a Grimoire I’m starting to share on my blog that is about approaching my second Ops Return (Ops is the partner of Saturn - this astro transit occurs around age 28-30, around age 58, and around age 88 for all of us).

I am going to play with the intuitive ideas given to me as channeled through my paintings of 2023. I’m going to devote myself even more to my friends, family, fun and love. I am not going to get hung up on $ but I will enjoy the process of art-making and see where it takes me.

During this past Waning Moon I let go of struggle and applying to art and writing opportunities. I wanted FREEDOM to create without the desire for anything but the creative act.
I am working magickally to get my work out into the world as a radical act of healing service.

New Painting - Intention/Spell
To go deep within the work to heal as Witch, Shaman, Fey, Warrior. To fight with words like Blake and Yeats. Art as chant with words as spells bound into a Grimoire.
Dream
In the doing I honour myself as Witch. I will create no matter what, THAT is all that matters.
The work I do is completely outside of the sanctified status quo art world and academic world.

A Tribute to Art-Lover Sue Blanche

Temecula and surrounding area have lost a true art loving soul this past week by the name of Sue Blanche. Sue was my friend and a tireless volunteer at Temecula’s Grace Mellman Library, in charge of the monthly rotating art exhibit at the Rotunda Gallery. Sue was a loyal friend of the arts and a huge proponent of artists who challenged the status quo through their often marginalized, edgy, risk-taking art. What a sad day for our community.

Sue encouraged me to exhibit my Oracle Deck Zodiac Goddesses twice and my Faerieality series just last month. Afterwards we attended the First Friday Art Walk at Temecula’s only gallery, The Merc where we met almost every single artist exhibiting outdoors at the monthly Art Nights. It was a splendid evening and I’m so happy that this was my last memory of Sue; out in the community amongst the artists helping them connect with other artists and patrons and providing them with hope and a chance to shine! Sue shared her desire to find interesting artists to exhibit at the library and I shared my Facebook Group for local creatives: The Temecula Artist’s Circle.
Sue championed artists who no one else would take a chance on here especially if their work didn’t fit the realistic, representative artistic mold that is popular in this conservative, Christian fundamentalist town where showing even classically rendered nudes is a no-no.
Sue is a rare and beautiful soul and she will be greatly missed. Please feel free to share your memories of Sue below in the Comments Section. If there is to be a service for Sue I’ll share it here once I have the details.

Internet addiction makes it easy NOT to go within - not to trust our intuition - not to grow - but to be consumers instead. It is miraculous to have empty space: unfilled, boredom, to do less and not to fill it with stuff we don’t want or need and in turn we are left emptier and less fulfilled than ever.
