I believe that intuition and connection to the Divine is our birthright - we are here to help and to heal.
It all started with dreaming, and so I paid attention because I believe in the power and wisdom of the subconscious realms. I started writing them down at the tender age of thirteen and the important ones stuck with me like touchstones and guideposts. One of the biggies (because I never forgot it!) involved me mentoring young people in trouble and so I continue to live that vision, but in the real world as a soul reader, psychic and astrologer.
I can't speak too much about any kind of mystical ancestry, because I was adopted as a baby and although I have reconnected with my entire birth family, I never got to know the one person who may have passed on her psychic, mystical abilities to me. She was my paternal grandmother, Ethel who visited Edgar Cayce's Institute (he was known as the 'Sleeping Prophet').
And so I pursued my mystical, goddess, pagan, astrological, shamanic, eastern based metaphysical studies on my own and with the help of books, mentors, teachers, healing circles, workshops and classes. It also didn't hurt that I moved to Laguna Beach, California in 1993 because so many healers, astrologers and teachers are drawn to that small, beautiful art town on the ocean.
Previously I'd spent 8 years attending to my intellectual needs and just plain growing up (I was a late bloomer!) which I did in Kingston, Ontario, Canada from 1984-1992 where I attended Queen's University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Art History. I discovered that I really loved to write, so describing and analyzing art was a perfect fit (I also wanted to become an artist since I was a kid). Although when I discovered Women's Studies I topped all my previous marks because finally, I'd found something where real life, my life, and intellectual analysis and the study of history, or herstory could come together and make sense in The Now.
I met my husband-to-be back in 1991. He was a Newport Beach, California lad sailing in the Olympic Trials (CORK) in Kingston, Ontario and the night I met him I just knew it was going to happen! I'd been preparing my friends for at least a week by telling them that I was going to meet a sailor and so it was. We met, wrote letters for a year (this was before the internet and email) and then got engaged one year later within one week of my graduation from graphic design school (St. Lawrence College). I also discovered that my birth grandfather had been at those very same Olympic Trials as a sailing judge and that he had been one of the founders of CORK. He had even sailed the exact boat in the Olympics as my husband had in the Trials. And to top things off my grandfather is a Scorpio, like my husband, and was married to my grandmother, a Virgo, like me. So, when folks ask me how I became a psychic, the answer is never simple!
What I do like to tell people who ask about my profession, is that the real turning point for me was when I turned 40. At the age of 40 all of us undergo a major astrological happening called Uranus Opposition and wow, it can really shake your world (Uranus doesn't rule lightning and electricity for nothing!) And so I got very serious and very busy, and started attending a psychic-medium development circle and became certified in crystal healing. My life took a whole new direction. Previously I'd been a full time professional artist which allowed for plenty of colorful, intuitive, soulful expressiveness along with mystical reverie and entrepreneurial get-up-and-go. I also learned invaluable lessons about business from both from my entrepreneurial architect husband and from living in Southern California.
At age 40 I truly found my way and with all that Virgo and Snake (my Eastern Astrological sign) in my chart I just had to be of service or die trying! And so here I am online, offering you my soul reading services, hoping to help you discover the passionate, intuitive, incredible soul you truly are and to offer healing support, empowering exercises and psychic guidance along the way as we make our way through this long, strange trip together.
"From Edgar Cayce's approach, psychic ability is not really about amazing talents or miracles of the mind. Instead, it becomes clear that psychic ability and intuition are really about discovering who we truly are and understanding how we might be helpful to one another."
