Scorpio Season: Halloween Collection Special Event

As the Witch's New Year approaches I am enjoying the coolness, the pumpkins, the absolute sense of magick and anticipation in the crisp fall air as the dark time of the year approaches. I've been painting bats and witch hats and flying cats on broomsticks in preparation for upcoming art shows. Soon, I'll carve my pumpkin, celebrate my husband's birthday on the 30th and dress up at Samhain as the person I want to be in the coming year. I will start my year with a toast to my birth mother on the other side as I picture her always in a goddess-green dress enjoying the company of her beloved. I'll raise a toast to all the dear departed that are looking out for us as the veil thins. Wishing you all sweet dreams and blessings in the coming year.

54 Series

I painted 54 goddesses 54 days before turning 54 on Sept. 7, 2019. "We need the goddess because she breaks stereotypes of the feminine and thus frees women from the limitations of that stereotype. Women can be strong and beautiful, feminine and wise teachers, mothers and participants in culture...the goddess completes the image of the god and brings wholeness." (Rita M. Gross)

Cat Herbals

Most of these watercolor paintings are from my 36-card Cat Herbal Oracle Deck. This deck and the artwork within will attune you to the healing, spiritual powers of the herbs and kitties. They were inspired by my feline friends and time spent in nature communing with the plant spirits and faeries of Southern California’s inland valleys..

Elfin Ally Oracle Deck Art

Inspired by Forest, Lake and Loon,
Fiery Heat, Coyote Calls, and Starry Nights

My Elfin Ally paintings are inspired by the wild creatures of my childhood home in Ontario, Canada in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere of Ontario, Canada, where five forest regions merge, creating a tremendous wildlife diversity and close to my childhood summer home, and my heart. It is located on traditional Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee territories.

In my late 20’s I moved to California and now find inspiration in the desert wine region and elfin forests of Temecula on the traditional land of the Payómkawichum where I learned to appreciate the searing sun, Santa Ana winds, starry nights, and El Nino winters of a desert life.

In 2019 I published these paintings as the Elfin Ally Oracle Deck: a 72 card spirit animal deck with oracles and keywords on the back of each card along with a 62 page guidebook. We all need magickal tools to help us deal with this often crazy world. May this deck be one of yours.

Faerieality Mixed Media Paintings

The Faerieality Series is painted with gouache and watercolor on Montréal-made paper (the city of my conception). Each painting is inspired by an intuitively chosen section of a book that I felt had ‘faerie energy’. I also intuitively chose a few words to collage into each piece.

I work within the field of Spiritual Automatism. This is a method of art-making in which the artist suppresses conscious control over the making process, allowing the unconscious mind to have great sway. Early 20th-century Dadaists, such as Hans Arp and made some use of this method through chance operations

Goddess Witchy Art

Devotional Art for your home and hearth to inspire and bless your magical life by Kathy Crabbe.

Goddesses are the love of my life and each one of these paintings carries that energy and Divine Spirit.

LuLu in Laguna Silk Art

The LuLu in Laguna series was inspired by 8 years living in mermaidalicious Laguna Beach, California with my 4-legged friends: Squeaky, Pin, and Bubbie. Below is a photo of my art booth at the Sawdust Art Festival. Each year we’d build a different booth and often there would be a ladder to a second floor as well - great for taking naps! The paintings in this Libra New Moon Collection are some of my favorites and very best selling images that are finally being released as originals.

Nude Alien Paintings 2021

Expanding perception and exploring consciousness via the power of chance and portals into chaos realms. By painting ‘otherness’ expressed via nude, non binary aliens I share my lived experience of being supernaturally gifted in the way I make these paintings. Each element of the painting is randomly (intuitively) chosen from 6 different sources. All these elements invite chance into the painting opening portals into chaos and deep play similar to the way my neurodivergent brain experiences the world.

Zodiac Goddess Power Deck Art

I felt it was important to portray the signs of the zodiac from a female perspective to balance out the predominantly male/god influences within society. We must awaken goddess energy right now for the sake of Mama Gaia, Mother Earth and our species. Much of this artwork can be found in my Zodiac Goddess Playbook and Zodiac Goddess Power deck.

Wood Art Paintings, Jewelry & Objects

I paint with acrylics and acrylic gouache on reclaimed pine board, vintage finds and on California oak and sugar bush collected from my Temecula, California property on the traditional land of the Payómkawichum.

I am a bridge between this world and Faerie. Art is in my blood going back generations. I paint to survive guided by talismans: a white feather, being ‘on-the-road’, the Czech folk art of my mother’s family and my cartoonist grandfather who speaks to me from Beyond inspiring me to keep it light.

Press Release

My creative exploration of goddess myth and HERstory began in 1995 with the publishing of my Goddess Zodiac Playbook compiled from over thirty paintings, poems, stories, and musings I created during a one month period as the moon transited through the twelve signs of the zodiac.

In 2008 I turned these paintings into a Goddess Zodiac Oracle card deck that guided over 1000 souls during intuitive readings I gave at Nirvana in Temecula, online, and in Moon Circles I facilitated at Mt. San Jacinto College and Yoga for Life, Temecula.

In this exhibit you will find ten goddess paintings completed between 2014-16 that have been published by We’Moon Datebook, the New Zealand Astro Diary, and SageWoman Magazine available at our very own Barnes and Noble, Temecula.

The ten large abstracts on display are from my Divine Feminine Journey into Intimacy series painted with acrylic on canvas from 2008-12 when I HAD to paint large. These paintings have been shown at Sun City Library and San Marcos Library.

You will also find my favorite, most popular silk art mermaids from my Laguna Beach days at the Sawdust Art Festival.

The latest work on display are goddesses painted on vintage, reclaimed wood and oak and sugar bush foraged from my Temecula property.

If you ask I’ll show you the series I’m working on now (not on display) called 54 Goddesses – I’m painting one-goddess-a-day for 54 days before I turn 54 on Sept. 7.

In 2020 I will publish the Goddess Zodiac Oracle deck (the book is already available here) and exhibit nine of those paintings at the Grace Mellman Library, Temecula in March.

Sparkly Blessings!
