Monday's Moon-Ra Meditation: a Creative Mermaid Visualization

I refuse to take sides. Watercolor on paper, 8 x 10 inches. © 2010 by Kathy Crabbe Join with me every Monday for a Moon-Ra Meditation & Visualization to honour Mama Moon and Papa Sun (Ra).

It's the Libra New Moon so I've chosen a special Libra stone and an oracle card from my hand-painted Creative Soul Guide Deck to help ring in a whole new week, spread the love and even test out a few ideas I'm playing around with for a future Creative Soul eClass - sound like fun?

Libra Gemstone: Lepidolite

Creative Soul Guide: I refuse to take sides (see image to left)

Moon-Ra Meditation & Visualization

You understand the Sea and journey deep, deep into her depths to play and laugh and swim amongst the mermaids, octopi and the dolphins.

You are the mermaid and you call upon Lepidolite to aid you on this journey into her depths.

You swim and are completely at ease in the water and amongst the water sprites. The water is your home and you return with Lepidolite held close to your heart as you chase the waves, feel her depths and are at peace with your emotions as you dance happily with the water sparklets.

You refuse to choose between this life (underwater) or that life (on land) and your heart willingly accepts this challenge.

Questions to Ponder:

1. What does the element of water mean for you?

2. Have you befriended a mermaid lately?

3. What does you inner mermaid look like?

4. What is the name of your inner mermaid?  (if you haven't found her yet, try out the Moon-Ra Meditation  above and you just might!)

Free Moon Chart!

All students of my Divine Feminine eCourse will receive a Moon Chart to show you where the Moon is in your personal zodiac chart.

Course Material includes 4 ebooks

Developing Wise Woman Moon-Knowing is a way of deepening your experience of the lunar cycles. My lunar-based Divine Feminine eCourse is designed to help you connect in a more meaningful way with these cycles. A Moon Chart, which explains where (what sign) the Moon and the Nodes of the Moon are in your natal chart are a great way to get started - once registered for the course please email me your exact date, time and place of birth so we can begin!

What does the Moon mean in your birth chart?

Your Moon: your birth chart wheel shows you what was happening in the sky at the exact moment when you were born. The sign and house position of your Moon relates to your emotional comfort zone and what makes you feel ‘at home’.

The Nodes of the Moon explore what new lessons you’re learning in this current lifetime based upon where you’ve been in past lives. Knowing this can help you uncover what areas are best for growth and which areas are familiar territory ie. ‘been there, done that’. This kind of valuable Moon-Knowing helps you push past your comfort zone so that you can begin to dream your ‘impossible dream’ in a balanced and healthy way. Learn more here: Astrology & the Moon

Awakening New Moon Seeds of Intention Collage

"We can make art letting the voice of the goddess – the oracle – speak through us in healing words and images." ~ Vicki Noble To get things rolling for my brand new eCourse - Awaken The Divine Feminine - which debuts on the new moon, March 15, 2010 I'm going to be sharing some exciting ideas that are a part of this course such as the New Moon Collage in Aquarius (pictured here), the Full Moon Collage and Waning Moon Collage.

This Collage is an example of the kind of creative activity we will be doing in the course which begins at the New Moon on March 15th, 2010 at the Wise Woman University. The course is 4 weeks long and costs $49.95 - I created this self study course especially for women to help awaken, inspire and engage our passionate, intuitive, creative selves through the creation of a Moon Musing Journal, Moon Collages and Moon Musing Exercises in honour of the new, full and waning moons.

I believe that the moon can help guide and challenge us to know and resonate with our instinctual, emotional selves in a balanced, harmonious and soulful way.

The course will start on the new moon of each month and includes four lessons plus a supplemental Moon Musing email specifically geared to the zodiac sign that the moon falls in for that particular month. My course is offered through the Wise Woman University which has loads of interesting, goddess-oriented, self-study programs on offer, so check us out!

If you have any questions about the course, please let me know and I'll be happy to respond here or by email.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

The moon's astrological sign changes every 2 to 2 1/2 days, as she is the fastest moving of all the planets in the zodiac. Her lunar transits indicate daily and hourly moods, which can change as quickly as the moon's sign. When we attune our activities with the lunar flow, we become a channel for the wisdoms of the natural world. Approach each moon cycle as a journey and a teaching.

The new moon always rises and sets with the sun (the sun and the moon are in conjunction) and it is the very best time to seed new beginnings! So get to it!

If the transiting moon is conjunct (the same sign and degrees), as your natal sun or moon sign, it is a time of strength and authority, and a good time to center and look within your intuitive self more clearly to reconnect with your primary mode of emotionality.

You may want to create a ritual for these times (called returns) when the moon is in the same sign as your sun, moon , and other personal planets. This can give you the opportunity to ground yourself and attune to these energies.

Spotlight on Sagittarian Artist Heidi:
"A true Sagittarius, I am a vagabond at heart. When I am creating, I have no less than 3 projects on the table, all being worked on at the same time.
Suffice to say that my craft area is unsafe for human occupation, and only I know where things are. I live simply, and dream simply as well. I do
not hope to "make it big", but instead to "make it matter". I don't need for my name to be known, but I do hope that my work will make a difference
in the life of someone. I donate a portion of proceeds to the Strive For Life Foundation to support the homeless Roma (gypsy) children of Romania."
