A Dream Collection featuring the Artists of Etsy

"You may find your thought processes turning inward this month, so be on the lookout for some amazing dreams."

This was a comment featured in last month's New Moon Newsletter and boy, I wasn't kidding! Here is a recent collection of dreams donated by the creative artists and crafters over at Etsy. Sweet Dreams to All! (and don't let the bed bugs bite!)

SpasticRabbit's Dream:
Me and some friends were at an aquarium walking down a hall towards a concert. My friend was freaked that the glass would break and the shark would get her, I told her not to worry because the lion fish would get her first.

We got to the concert and the band kept fluidly changing (for a while is was KISS then Meatloaf etc) They asked for some extras so me and my friend volunteered. They dressed us up as mattresses and we ran around stage being chased by guys dressed as radishes with pumpkins on their heads. By the end of the dream our costumes morphed into bread and sandwich components.

boygirlparty's Dream:
a few nights ago, i had a dream about a sad clown named Leebo that everyone started calling Tae Bo. Does that mean that i am a sad clown and i need to work out more? cause i already exercise a lot...

CREATEaTHOUGHT's Dream:
Last night I dreamt satan was a vampire and if he bit me I would become his wife and then he would be able to take over the world. Then I slashed him to pieces very bloodily and said a chant about being white light not dark evil light and turned him to dust.

SlapHappyDrums Dream:
I was out of town and my husband had a dream he had to call and tell me about. He dreamed the answer to solve everything. Of course he couldn't remember the steps to take to get the world on the right track but for a brief moment he said he had it.

NoctisAeterna's Dream:
It starts off in a crowded area, like a mall or theater - I think it's a theater, judging by the surroundings. Not a movie theater, but a theater where stage performances are put on. We are locked inside.

Anyway. Everyone seems to be in a bit of a panic, because there are aliens in the theater. They are tall and humanoid, with bluish scaly skin like a snake's - they're not particularly scary or threatening, but everyone is afraid of them because they look strange, and are turning humans into more aliens somehow. I'm one of the people who is being turned into an alien - and I've been chosen by their prince to be his wife. For some reason, this doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother the others.

I go into a washroom, and look into a brightly-lit mirror. My skin is scaly and blue now, my previously-short hair is now long and thick and curly, and I'm suddenly dressed in a white dress with lacy sleeves. I'm wearing lavender lipstick, and decide I don't like it, so I wipe it off with the back of my hand and look through a drawer beneath the mirror, which is filled with more makeup. Picking out a bright red lipstick, I apply that instead.

Outside the room, I hear a man shouting that he's figured out how they're transforming humans, but it's already too late.

BarbaraLousBoutique's Dream:
I had the Etsy dream. Again.
Ya know, the one where I sell something?
*snort*

Peachcult's Dream:
Half naked Mayan priestess with big feather headdresses chasing me up a tree and throwing cocktail weenies at me.

If I was a boy this would reek of Freudian issues.
As a girl it's just oddly disturbing.

I like what ZenGarden has to say about dreams:
"Our dreams use symbols, like a game of charades, to convey a message. Can you say what, specifically, really worked for you in terms of understanding the messages or energy you receive? Any particularly helpful books/people/meditation techniques/questions??? I've come to a new plateau and want to take it to a higher level. Again, thank you for being so open and communicative!

My Response (via Email):
In regards to what really worked for me, in terms of understanding the messages and energy I receive, I would have to say, that timing had a lot to do with it! I have always worked with astrology in regards to major transitional points that we all go through, such as the Saturn Return at age 30, the Uranus Opposition at age 40, and so on (I recommend working with the book "The Liquid Light of Sex" by Barbara Hand Clow to help you be prepared.) So when it came time for my Uranus Opposition, I had a big astrology reading done to prepare myself (2 years in advance...I really believe in being prepared lol!) so I knew that something intense and transformative was approaching, and it did!

An English Traditional Circle:
I connected with a professional psychic-medium at this time by the name of Adam Higgs who had just moved to Southern California from England and I pestered and pestered him (we were friends) to start up his "English Traditional Healing & Teaching Circle" so he did and for six months I immersed myself in weekly training. During that time, I approached a new age store in town called Nirvana and started working there as a psychic-medium, giving readings until it closed its doors. I took a brief hiatus to delve into printmaking at a local college, until they too closed their doors! I wanted to continue with my readings, but there was nowhere in town that I could go, so I requested guidance from my dreams and was given the message, "Lefty Tarot," and that very day I started giving readings on Etsy and haven't stopped since!

Following Your Intuition:
In regards to particularly helpful people/meditation techniques/books etc. I just followed my intuition, which to me, when it's really working, kinda feels like you're waterskiing and being pulled along behind something, rather than you having to do all the pulling yourself! Timing and working with the planetary cycles are very important because certain time periods only come around once and so it is essential that we tap into them for maximum growth and learning. Everyone has their own way of connecting with spirit and the divine but that's my story!

What is a Soul Reading?

A Twitter Conversation About Intuition

I am trying to trust my intuition but the hardest aspect right now is knowing it's there and not knowing how to use it, or at least develop it. I have tried meditation, reiki and meditation on the root and 3rd eye chakra. I have been reading up on it and trying to study as much as I can. I have talked to psychics and other intuitives. I have asked my guides directly, and so on.

I have found the clairaudience (clear hearing) stronger during reiki. The guides will talk to me and tell me where to go next or what to do, or provide guidance and affirmations that the client needs to hear (and sometimes repeat?) I will see the symbol I need to use, or sometimes other insights. It's random, sometimes things just float across the mind, but I am not always certain that its intuition telling me something or just the mind. This insight used to get me in trouble a lot, especially as a kid. I am an empath, but didn't know how to control it and it took a toll on me. Now I am pretty good at blocking it almost completely. I hesitate to open it but I know that sometimes it's needed. Since my reiki attunements (level 2) the desire has strengthed. I feel like a sponge right now just soaking everything in and not knowing what to do with the info, or what to believe. How did you develop your abilities, and get control over them?

My Response (via email):

I developed my abilities in a six month long class that met weekly, where we worked on each other doing psychic readings and medium-ship. I find that working live, in a group, is the best way to learn things - it's so experiential, and it helps to have real live people to share stories and experiences with, and to ask questions also. In regards to trusting your intuition, that does take time and practice, that's for sure! Since starting to do readings online, on etsy I have probably given over 700 or so readings since August of 2008, and I have asked for feedback and chatted with every single person who I have read for, so that is how I built up my confidence, and yes, I know...it's a lot of time and confidence building, but I felt I needed it, to really learn to trust myself and my intuition.

Patience Required!

I guess I should also add that I've spent a lot of time meditating, doing yoga, attending workshops and energy healings, living in nature, enjoying peace and quiet, working with tarot, celebrating the seasons, doing ritual and going to lectures, etc. - it's become a whole way of life that's led up to where I am at this very moment, but it sure didn't happen overnight!

Get Ready for the December New Moon

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
The moon's astrological sign changes every 2 to 2 1/2 days, as she is the fastest moving of all the planets in the zodiac. Her lunar transits indicate daily and hourly moods, which can change as quickly as the moon's sign. When we attune our activities with the lunar flow, we become a channel for the wisdoms of the natural world. Approach each moon cycle as a journey and a teaching.

The new moon always rises and sets with the sun (the sun and the moon are in conjunction) and it is the very best time to seed new beginnings! So get to it!

If the transiting moon is conjunct (the same sign and degrees), as your natal sun or moon sign, it is a time of strength and authority, and a good time to center and look within your intuitive self more clearly to reconnect with your primary mode of emotionality.

You may want to create a ritual for these times (called returns) when the moon is in the same sign as your sun, moon , and other personal planets.
